The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's Internship Program has had long-running success. Our interns gain valuable experience while contributing significantly to the business of the Federal Reserve. Many interns subsequently return to the Reserve Bank for full-time employment post-graduation.
As part of The Internship Collaborative, the Bank posts its internships on Intern Hub, a unique, centralized website where employers and students in the Greater Boston area can turn for internship resources and support.
The Bank's internships will be posted on a rolling basis in 2014. As openings become available, positions will be viewable at Intern Hub.
The summer session will run from May 27, 2014 to August 15, 2014. The internships are 40 hours per week (unless indicated otherwise) and offered in a variety of business areas.
We look for candidates who have demonstrated strong academic performance, who engage in extracurricular activities, and who possess the following strengths:
Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of studies and should have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (out of 4.0).
We especially encourage those students pursuing MBAs and information technology degrees to apply. When applying, students must include their current cumulative GPA, year of graduation, and field of study.
As an intern, you will support the day-to-day operations of a project or department. Interns are given “real work” that will expose you to real world challenges in a business area.
You will partner with diverse people, and have the opportunity to avail yourself of career development training and resources to strengthen your professional skills and knowledge
You will have the opportunity to meet and interact with management at a variety of meetings and events. In addition, interns can network with each other during organized social and community support activities.
