Internships

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Summer Internship Program has been a success for several decades. Our interns gain valuable experience while making significant contributions to the business of the Federal Reserve. Many interns subsequently return to the Reserve Bank for full-time employment post-graduation.

The Bank is accepting applications for Summer 2013 internships on a rolling basis.

The 2013 summer session will run from May 28, 2013 to August 16, 2013. The internships are 40 hours per week and offered in a variety of business areas.

Eligibility

We look for candidates with strong academics, who engage in extracurricular activities, and who possess the following strengths:

  • Analytical and communications skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Professionalism, dependability, and integrity

Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of studies and should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

We especially encourage those students pursuing MBAs and information technology degrees to apply.  When applying, students must include their current cumulative GPA, year of graduation, and field of study.

    As an intern, you will support the day-to-day operations of a project or department.  Interns are given “real work” that will expose you to real world challenges in a business area.
