Biography
Larry Bean is the economics editor in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where, among other responsibilities, he edits the department’s working papers and research reports. He joined the Bank in 2017 after a long career in magazine publishing as an editor and writer. He has edited several books, including most recently a Vermont doctor’s memoir about working on the front line of the opioid crisis. Larry has been an instructor at Boston University’s College of Communications since 2010. He has an AB in economics from Harvard University and an MA in mass communication from Emerson College.
