Teams apply for grants ranging between $300,000 and $500,000 to implement multi-year initiatives that aim to achieve better results for their communities using the Working Communities Challenge model. An independent jury of steering committee members awards the grants after assessing each team’s promise and commitment to the work. The jury considers the team’s written proposals, interviews team members, and considers the work the teams have completed in the planning phase.
