Cindy Conley is senior vice president & general counsel with responsibility for the Legal department, and is a member of the Bank's Executive Committee. Cindy also holds the title of ethics officer.
Cindy began her career at the Bank as a summer intern while attending law school. Upon graduation, she joined the Bank's Supervision and Regulation department as a holding company analyst. Eighteen months later she transferred to the Legal department, where she spent 16 years and became associate general counsel. She then rotated to the position of vice president of Corporate Policy and secretary to the Board of Directors, serving four years in these positions before rotating to the Human Resources department. In 2008, she was appointed general counsel.
Cindy has served as a member of the board of directors of the Greater Boston Executive Program at the MIT Sloan School, and as an overseer of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Boston.
She has also served in a variety of System roles including secretary to the Financial Services Policy Committee, secretary to the Special Oversight Committee on Interstate Banking (co-chaired by former Federal Reserve Governor Kelly and former Boston Fed President Cathy Minehan), and secretary to the Subcommittee of Legal Counsel on Payments. She was a member of the Subcommittee on Human Resources, and is currently a member of the Subcommittee of Legal Counsel and Subcommittee of Ethics Officers.
