BOSTON: Steven Wright, the executive partner overseeing management of Holland & Knight’s Boston office, will join the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston as senior vice president and general counsel on April 8, 2019.

Wright will serve as the Bank’s senior legal officer and advisor, providing strategic counsel to the Bank’s leadership. He will join the Bank’s Executive Committee, and lead the Legal Services Group.

At Holland & Knight, Wright has served as lead counsel and strategic advisor for several Fortune 500 companies, addressing complex commercial, corporate, intellectual property, litigation and regulatory matters. He is named in Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation, and a Super Lawyer for business and corporate law.

Wright has been a director of SBLI Mutual Insurance Company, and will step down from that board before joining the Fed. His nonprofit board affiliations include Atrius Health and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Wright is a member of the Boston Fed’s Diversity Advisory Council, and was named one of the 50 Most Influential Bostonians by the Boston Business Journal.

Wright holds a law degree from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Carolina University. He is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight in 1999, Wright served in the offices of the Mayor of the City of New York, the New York City Public Advocate, and the Massachusetts Attorney General. He previously served as a trustee of The Boston Bar Foundation, Boston Mayor Menino’s Economic Advisory Board, and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Committee on Professional Ethics. He also served as faculty of Harvard Law School's Trial Advocacy Workshop and as a lecturer at Northeastern University.
