Maine Working Communities Challenge Announcement Event
This Event Has Ended
Please join Governor Janet Mills, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Eric Rosengren, and Maine leaders for the launch of Working Communities Challenge.
The Working Communities Challenge is a multi-year grant opportunity designed to advance local, cross-sector collaborative efforts to build strong economies and vibrant communities. With a focus on economic opportunity for communities and residents with low incomes, this unique program is supported by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the State of Maine, and a number of national and local philanthropic organizations, and private sector employers.
The Maine Working Communities Challenge builds upon prior engagement and learning by the Boston Fed through implementation of the Working Cities Challenge currently operating in Massachusetts (since 2013), Rhode Island (since 2015), Connecticut (since 2016), and the Working Communities Challenge in Vermont (since 2019).
