Biography
Glenn L. Hutchinson is a native of Cumberland, Maine. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and his MBA from the University of Southern Maine. Glenn began his banking career in 1981 at Sun Savings & Loan, where he served as the Assistant Vice President Controller. He joined Bath Savings Institution in 1988 as Vice President & Treasurer and quickly rose to the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed President & CEO in 1995.
He has guided Bath Savings through the additions of branch offices in Yarmouth, Boothbay Harbor, Portland South Portland, and Westbrook. Under his management, the bank has grown in assets by nearly $1.5 billion. As the leader of one of the oldest and most respected financial institutions in Maine, Glenn feels that the bank should be a responsible, contributing member of the community. In addition to making financial contributions to hundreds of area nonprofits, Glenn continues to serve in a leadership role for many organizations, including Maine Health Mid Coast Hospital, University of Southern Maine, and the United Way of Mid Coast Maine.
