Biography
Julieann M. Thurlow is a member of the Boston Fed’s Payments Advisory Council and the president and chief executive officer of Reading Cooperative Bank. She is responsible for the bank's strategic direction and management, and she also serves as president of the RCB Charitable Foundation.
Thurlow formerly served as chair of the American Bankers Association. She currently serves as a member of the ABA’s Government Relations Administrative Committee and its Membership Council. Thurlow is a founding member of Alloy Labs, a consortium of banks nationally formed to innovate in the banking space, and she is a director of Atlantic Community Bankers Bank.
Locally, Thurlow serves as the co-chair of the MA Fintech Hub. She is on the boards and executive committees for the Lawrence Partnership, the Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation, and LEADS, Inc. She is also a board member of the Greater Lawrence Community Health Center and a trustee of Winchester Hospital.
Thurlow is a past chair of the Cooperative Central Bank and was a member of the Boston Fed’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. She holds an MBA from the Charles F. Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University.
