Capital & Collaboration: An In-Depth Look at the Community Investment System in Massachusetts Working Cities
In August 2016 the Boston Fed, along with its partners the Kresge Foundation and Harvard's Institute for Responsible Investment, published Capital & Collaboration: An In-Depth Look at the Community Investment System in Massachusetts Working Cities, which outlines the goals and process undertaken by the Capital & Collaboration Working Group to identify recommendations for strengthening the community investment system in Massachusetts Working Cities. The report includes insights from our research on three types of investments: 1) mixed-use commercial development, 2) small business development, and 3) scattered-site residential development. One-page recommendations for strengthening the first two of these systems are also offered from the Working Group task forces consisting of key state-level decision makers and others. These task forces continue to meet to implement their recommendations.
