Research Advisory Council

The Research Advisory Council, comprised of experts from across the country on topics including wealth measurement, assets and debts, and survey design/implementation, was convened to ensure that Mass ECHOS research was innovative, rigorous, engaged with the research field, and aligned with research ethics. For four years, the council met regularly, providing critical discussion with the Boston Fed team on the study's research questions, research design plans, survey instrument protocols, advice on measurement issues, sampling strategies, coding decisions, and analysis plans.

Community Advisory Council

The Community Advisory Council was convened to ensure that Mass ECHOS research was community-informed and successfully implemented across Massachusetts. For four years, the council representing residents across the state met regularly, providing critical discussion with the Boston Fed team on research assumptions, survey question development, instrument design iterations, community engagement strategies, and organization of community conversations about the survey.
