Boston Fed Senior Vice President and General Counsel Steven H. Wright has announced that he will be leaving the Bank in April to become chief legal officer at a major national credit union. 

 

Wright joined the Boston Federal Reserve Bank in 2019, and has served as the Bank’s general counsel, overseeing the Legal department and providing strategic counsel to Bank leadership. 

 

Bank President and CEO Susan M. Collins said, “Steve has been a thoughtful advisor and valued member of our senior leadership team. His steady approach and broad perspective have been instrumental over the past seven years. We are grateful for his many contributions and wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

Before joining the Boston Fed, Wright had most recently served as the executive partner of the Boston office of a global law firm. He received the Boston College Law School Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 and was inducted into the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly “Hall of Fame” in 2025.
