Erin Devereaux named Boston Fed senior vice president and general counsel
Devereaux will serve as the Bank’s senior legal officer and chief ethics officer
BOSTON – The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston today announced that Erin G. Devereaux has been appointed senior vice president and general counsel, effective immediately. Devereaux will serve as the Bank’s senior legal officer and advisor, lead the Legal department, and join the Bank’s Executive Committee. She will also continue to serve as the Bank’s chief ethics officer.
Devereaux joined the Boston Fed in 2015 and most recently served as vice president and deputy general counsel.
“Erin is a valued advisor and thoughtful leader who brings extensive knowledge of the Bank and Federal Reserve System to this important role,” said Boston Fed President & CEO Susan M. Collins. “Her legal expertise and commitment to public service will continue to be a tremendous asset to the Bank.”
During her tenure at the Boston Fed, Devereaux has advised on a range of banking, regulatory, operational, and governance matters.
Prior to joining the Boston Fed, Devereaux served as counsel for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, where she provided legal guidance on federal benefits and fiduciary matters.
Devereaux earned her juris doctor from Georgetown University and her bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
