Law Enforcement Unit Law Enforcement Unit

The Law Enforcement Unit (LEU), also known as the Federal Reserve Police, provides Federal Reserve Plaza employees and visitors with a secure and safe work environment.

LEU comprises sworn Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers and support personnel. All sworn officers have received nationally accredited training as prescribed by the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors and the United States Department of Justice.

Additionally, regular in-service training is conducted in Boston throughout the year for all officers. Initial training and in-service training is wide ranging, including, but not limited to, training in legal matters, firearms, non-lethal weapons, defensive tactics, physical control techniques, judgmental shooting, medical, report writing, and many other topics.
