Service to the Community Service to the Community

At the Boston Fed, public service is something we take seriously – both in the work we do, and in our efforts to give back by volunteering in our local communities.

The Bank's "First Serve" program sources and promotes a variety of volunteer opportunities designed to connect employees with their colleagues, the community, and the overarching Bank mission. The Boston Fed has lasting relationships with a number of nonprofit organizations, including the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, the Boston Private Industry Council, and the Boston Debate League, among others. From pro bono Earned Income Tax Credit preparation, to tutoring and mentoring programs for kids – staff may take part in a range of sponsored activities to make a positive impact on the First District.
