Several Reserve Banks, including the Boston Fed, provide varying fiscal agent support to the United States Department of the Treasury. The Boston Fed currently supports three business lines, including the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP), Stored Value Cards, and Treasury Cash Management functions.
Invoice Processing Platform
The Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) group is responsible for the development, operation, and adoption of electronic invoicing services (commercial and intra-governmental) on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service.
Launched in November 2007, IPP is a U.S. Treasury centralized service that more efficiently manages government invoicing from purchase order through payment notification.

Stored Value Card
The Boston Fed provides complete program support to the U.S. Treasury’s Bureau of Fiscal Services and the finance management commands of the Army, Air Force, Marines, and Navy. The Stored Value Card program comprises smart cards, including EZpay, EagleCash, and NavyCash.
