Co-sponsored with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, this interactive seminar for legislators from the New England states focused on the economic perspectives of state and local tax reform and relief initiatives.
At this event, policy makers discussed different state and local tax policies and focused on their economic impact and their implications for policy choices. Leading experts in public finance and public finance practitioners presented and discussed their analysis of tax expenditure limits and spending caps. They were also informed of the consequences of state tax reform initiatives and learned about proposals for federal tax reform and its potential impact on state and local finance and administration.
