Fall 2010 Reserve Account Management and Payment System Risk Seminar
This Event Has Ended
These educational sessions are designed to provide attendees with (1) the principles and concepts necessary to manage their Federal Reserve accounts effectively and (2) essential information on Payment Systems Risk (PSR) and important policy changes that will be implemented in the first quarter of 2011. Because of the importance of the information on both topics, this year's program has been divided into two sessions - the morning session will cover Reserve Requirements and Account Management and the afternoon will be devoted to PSR Policy Changes. Please find the agenda below, Both sessions are free to executives, managers and staff from First District depository institutions.
Who Should Attend These Seminars?
We welcome all who are interested to attend both sessions of the day; however, if there is not cross-functional responsibility, you may also only attend the program that pertains to your area of expertise.
Reserves and Account Management - In this session we will share information on 2900 Deposit Reporting, Reserve Requirements and Account Management. The material is targeted to financial institution staff members that have direct responsibilities for, or a general interest in, reserve requirements, deposit reporting, contractual clearing balances, and as-of adjustments. Additionally, persons who use ReserveCalc or the Internet Electronic Submission (IESUB) applications as they relate to Reserve Account management will benefit. In particular, individuals who have not attended one of our previous seminars will most benefit.
Payment System Risk Policy - This program is geared toward individuals who are responsible for funding their institutions' Federal Reserve accounts, establishing and approving net debit caps, and monitoring daylight credit usage. Significant changes are being implemented in the first quarter of 2011 that will change pricing credit and the use of collateral for intra-day credit purposes and the purpose of this seminar is to walk through the changes and what they mean and give bankers the ability to ask questions.
Members of Reserve Bank staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer your questions on the material covered during the day - Internet Electronic Submission (IESUB) system, Term Deposit Facility (TDF), interest on reserves and PSR policy - current and future - or on other topics that are important to you.
We look forward to seeing you in October. If you have questions about the seminars, please contact Jim Freeman at (617) 973-3954 or Ashley Eaves at (617) 973- 2199. You may also call the toll-free Account Management number at (800) 526-0338.
