Alan Bloom is a senior vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and currently leads the FedNowSM Business Integration team, which is responsible for ensuring that internal operations and technology adapt to, and interact with, FedNowSM effectively. Prior to that, Alan spent 26 years in leadership roles within Central Accounting Technology Services and the Financial Support Office (FSO), where he was responsible for long-term technology planning and overseeing technology projects and operations for all national accounting and financial management applications. Alan led the planning, development, and implementation of the Account Management Information (AMI) application and the Enterprise Accounting System (EASy)
Alan has worked at the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Boston in a variety of roles since 1981. He began his career in New York as a Research Assistant before transferring to Systems Development.
Alan is a graduate of Yale University, where he received a B.A. in Economics and Administrative Sciences.
