Gauti B. Eggertsson is a professor of economics at Brown University and the director of the university’s Orlando Bravo Center for Economic Research. Before joining the faculty at Brown, Eggertsson worked in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 2004 to 2012. His research interests include the analysis of monetary and fiscal policy over the business cycle. He received his PhD in economics from Princeton University and his BS in economics from the University of Iceland.
