Lena Metelitsa is a vice president of Risk and Compliance in the Corporate Strategy & Risk department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston with responsibility for the Bank’s risk and compliance functions. Lena works with executive and business line leaders to implement a Bank-wide approach to risk management and compliance. She also works to develop strategies that give a comprehensive, real-time, and forward-thinking view of the Bank’s overall risk profile.
Prior to joining the Bank, Lena worked at John Hancock Financial where she served as senior director and head of U.S. Enterprise and Operational risk oversight programs. In this role, she was the leading practice expert on operational and enterprise risks, supported the development and implementation of risk frameworks, and reported on the risk activities in the U.S. Prior to joining John Hancock Financial, Lena held various leadership roles at Sun Life Financial, Investors Bank and Trust and Arthur Andersen.
Lena holds a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University, an MBA from Bentley Graduate School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
