Peter directs the Maine Working Communities Challenge, a initiative focused on supporting cross-sector leaders in Maine to improve economic opportunity for residents of the state.  Peter started his career as a middle school teacher and has worked to advance the cause of educational equity through organizing, advocacy, politics, and philanthropy in communities across the United States. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, a Master of Science for Teachers from Pace University, and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
