Biography
Aditya Soenarjo is an economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Department. He joined the Boston Fed in 2024 after earning his PhD in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Soenarjo is a quantitative macroeconomist interested in understanding how business cycles affect the welfare of households and how policies can mitigate their negative effects. In his research, he adopts a micro-to-macro approach, using tools from applied microeconomics in combination with quantitative macroeconomic models to evaluate the quantitative impact of various policies in a general equilibrium setting.
In addition to a PhD, Soenarjo holds an MRes in economics and an MSc and a BSc in econometrics and mathematical economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
