Biography
Alvaro Silva is an economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Department. He joined the Boston Fed in 2024 after earning his PhD in economics from the University of Maryland. His fields of research are international macroeconomics and trade.
Silva also has an MA in economics from the University of Maryland, an MSc in applied economics (with honors) from Universidad de Concepción, and a BSc in economics (with honors) from Universidad de Concepción.
