Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup

Established in 2010 by the Federal Reserve Banks of Boston and Atlanta through their Payment Strategies and Retail Payments Risk Forum groups, the Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup (MPIW) is comprised of leading companies in the U.S. mobile and digital payments ecosystem. The MPIW meets several times annually to share perspectives, discuss barriers and opportunities in mobile and digital payments, including technology solution development, incentives for adoption, security and merchant acceptance, that ultimately support a vision for the building blocks of an efficient, secure, and ubiquitous mobile-initiated payments environment in the United States.
