Managing Risk in Cards Portfolios: Risk Appetite and Limits
by Tiffany Eder, Claire Labonne, Caitlin O'Loughlin, and Krish Sharma
The Supervision, Regulation & Credit department (SRC) supervises and regulates financial institutions in the Federal Reserve’s First District.
They serve the public by promoting financial stability and public confidence in the banking system through integration of the Discount Window, reserves, counterparty credit risk control, statistical data management, and supervisory and regulatory work in support of effective monetary policy, and by contributing to policy through their expertise in the analysis of risk faced by domestic and global financial services organizations.
The department also works to protect consumers by ensuring that financial institutions comply with laws and regulations and by encouraging those institutions to responsibly meet the needs of their communities.
